2nd Annual Light It Up Blue 5K for Autism Speaks
Join us April 12, 2014 for the 2nd Annual Light it Up Blue 5K for Autism Speaks at scenic Bisset Park in historic downtown Radford, Virginia! Invite your friends, families and coworkers to join the occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy student associations at Radford University and the MCPS On-Campus Transition Partnership in supporting a common goal: funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and cure for autism. All profits will be donated to the Autism Speaks research and advocacy organization.
Register for the 5K run or family-friendly 1 Mile walk as an individual or as a team, and then let the fundraising begin! Utilize your own websites, social media, and community networks to help make a difference for countless children and families. Last year’s inaugural event raised $4,474, drew 200 participants, and involved 19 community partners. Help build on this impressive start and light up the Blue in Blue Ridge!
The whole family is welcome on race day to come enjoy complimentary snacks, entertainment, and information in the park. At the finish line, awards will be given for top finishers and top fundraisers, and every participant will receive a runner bag with a certificate of participation as well as goodies from our sponsors. Register NOW to be a part of the excitement on April 12th!
